Scarlett Johansson, American actress (born on November 22, 1985, in New York City New York) is awaited for her recognition due to her ability to act across different various genres from historical dramas, thrillers and action-packed films. Johansson was the child of a filmmaker and an architect. The family is from New York City. Hunter was the twin of her younger sister. When she reached seven, her interest in acting was growing. Her first audition was for commercials. She joined the Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute shortly following and then went to the Professional Children's School, Manhattan to further her education. She made her debut as an actor in the film North (1994) at the age of nine. When she was eight years old, she appeared with Ethan Hawke on Off-Broadway in Sophistry. Johansson made her debut in Just Cause, but she was first seen in Manny & Lo, a film that follows orphaned siblings as they run away. Her next film won critical acclaim for her role as a teenage girl who suffered a disfiguring accident in The Horse Whisperer (1998) and she gained further attention as cynical teen who is a solitary Rebecca in Ghost World (2001). As with many actresses who started out she decided to hone her craft in the world of theater. She also worked in other initiatives across the USA and Canada, but Wildflower was her debut on stage performance. She studied at The Stonestreet Studios Conservatory part of the New York University's Tisch School of the Arts'.
